Our mission is to reduce pet overpopulation by providing an effective, accessible and affordable spay/neuter option and to educate pet families about the benefits of spaying and neutering companion animals and proper animal care.

Our community outreach team goes into highest poverty areas of St. Louis city ZIP codes 63106, 63107, 63113, 63115, 63120 and 63147 to establish relationships with residents and discuss the importance of proper pet care, especially spaying and neutering, which we provide for free in these ZIP codes, including transportation for veterinary services for the pets of those who do not have a way to get to the Clinic. There are no veterinary services in these areas and many of the residents do not have the resources to travel to or pay for veterinary services.

Providing education and no- or low-cost veterinary services helps families and the community as a whole from a health perspective, reducing the risk of rabies, intestinal parasites, and bacterial and viral zoonotic infections, and spayed and neutered animals are less likely to roam looking for a mate, act aggressively to people and other animals, develop costly reproductive cancers and tumors that caretakers cannot afford, and cause traffic risks.
