The name says it all: SMOKEHOUSEJellies. All of our pepper jellies are smoked to give them a unique taste and aroma of BBQ that will keep you coming back for more. Over COVID, I started a hobby of growing my own super hot peppers and became enamored with everything about it. I grew a mix of habaneros, trinidad morgua scorpion, and carolina reaper peppers from seed. In this experiment, I found real joy in farming and nurturing these seeds to fruit. That year, I had no expectations, yet the yield from my careful attention to these plants was abundant, to say the least. I decided to try my hand at making pepper jelly, but my way. There are so many pepper jellies out there, but I wanted to try something I hadn’t seen before. On a whim, I decided to throw the fruits and peppers on my stick burner before making jelly with them. The rest is history. After the first bite, I knew I had something special and something I had never tasted before. So, here we are. I started this business with my wife, because we are self-proclaimed foodies, passionate about good food, and dedicated to providing a great product. This business was born out of our desire to share this amazing experience and taste with you. We hope you love what we’ve crafted here at SmokehouseJellies.

As a wing sauce, rib marinade, or even heated up with a grilled cheese sandwich, it’s incredibly versatile. These conversations take me back to my bartending days, meeting people from all walks of life and connecting over great drinks and food.”– Todd Brutcher, Founder of Southside Alchemy

Life Behind The Lens Photography
I’m an art/landscape/street/event photographer addicted to the grit and grandeur of this awesome city I call home. I’ve been capturing STL and the surrounding area for many years and love to document its changes. Nothing makes me happier than when someone connects emotionally to something I’ve captured enough to want to share their space with it. That’s the magic. That’s what art does and I’m most fulfilled when I’m behind the lens making it.
Penny Pinata
One of the first things I learned when I started doing rescue work nearly 15 years ago was the benefit of martingale-style dog collars. This type of collar is slightly different from a typical buckle collar. The collar consists of 2 connected loops; one connects to the leash and the other goes around the dogs neck. When the dog pulls on the leash, the collar tightens up evenly around instead of yanking from one side. This functionality offers a little more control and also makes it so that dogs can’t back out of the collar.
This is critical for rescue dogs that are a flight risk but it just makes sense to use them for my own dogs as well. I found when shopping for martingale-style collars, the selection was very utilitarian and rarely included any fun prints. Because I wanted something more stylish, I began making the collars. My goal is to make rescue dogs more approachable and safe at the same time. But I love all dogs and am flattered to able to dress any of them!
During Covid quarantine, I taught myself how to macrame and I. can’t. stop. knotting!!! Orginally spawned from my love of plants, I have expanded from the typical plant hangers to elaborate wall hangings and more. Which brings me to my odd little gathering of dog collars and macrame that are in no way related other then being made with love by me.
Benton Park Prints
Benton Park Prints began in 2012 as a humble Etsy shop specializing in whimsical bathroom and kitchen art. What started as a passion project soon caught the eye of art lovers nationwide, leading to features in big-box retailers across the country, appearances in national print campaigns, and even spotlights on popular television shows.
In 2015, the business took a leap beyond the digital realm by opening a pop-up shop, giving fans a chance to experience the collection in person. This expansion helped forge deeper connections with the local community, allowing Benton Park Prints to showcase its designs at countless venues throughout St. Louis.
Today, the brand offers over 900 unique pieces, including nearly 300 dedicated to St. Louis—among them 200 city-themed prints and 140 neighborhood-inspired shirts that celebrate the vibrant culture and history of the Gateway to the West. I use specifically a laser to add a strong sense of symmetry the naturally created wood grains. Something about the balance of nature and well… lasers.

Kelly Gaines Photography and Ceramics
Kelly is an artist who is from the Metro St. Louis area. She works in the photography and clay mediums, creating stunning handmade pieces. The work has many inspirations, which primarily stems from the love and comfort she gets from creating this work. The work is inspired by the history of the areas, like Forest Park and Alton. The St. Louis area and country have a beautiful landscape, as predominantly seen from the many photographs of State and National Parks. Animals are also a common theme – including a few appearances of a golden retriever she had. Her work is made with love and care, with desires to bring joy and happiness into your home. While the work is prominently seen as art, most work, especially the ceramics, can be used in day to day use for things like food, drinks, and plants.

Park Bench Creations
Our business goal is to keep our focus on unique gift items that are accessibly priced. While we do feature more artistic ceramic creations that take many hours and many steps to finish, thus the higher price tags, the vast majority of our pieces are $5 to $45, with a large variety for all ages and identities. Seeing people get excited to walk away with a special item for themselves or for the perfect gift makes us very happy.
The other aspect of our business has always been about giving back. Every year, we choose at least 3 charities (local and national) to support, and we are happy to say, with your support, we have been able to donate over $3500 in just 5 years!
Peter’s Peculiarities began when I ran across supplies for one of my wife’s discarded hobbies, and started playing around with the rings. Very quickly, I fell in love with the intricacy and patterns of Chainmaille, and began to expand and experiment with the shapes, textures, and possibilities arising from the simplicity of interlocking rings.

Asterisk Ceramics
Ashley Isbell is the founder and artist behind Asterisk Ceramics, a small pottery and ceramics business based out of her house in St Louis, Missouri. Heavily influenced by abstract expressionism and the Japanese aesthetic of Wabi-Sabi, in which beauty is found in simplicity and imperfection, Ashley hand-throws and sculpts pottery and ceramics both suited to utilitarian and decorative purposes.
Being a creative raised in an environment in which artistic expression was often quashed, Ashley’s artistic endeavors have always been self taught and idiosyncratic. Not bound by rules (or often even intention), but the pure expression of feeling. Finding the perfect medium for that expression has been a lifelong journey beginning somewhere in fiber arts, then meandering over to oil painting and even film photography, to settle, finally, on the clay arts.
The themes and vivid colors in her creations often reflect those of her complicated childhood and relationship to her childhood- impermanence, experimentation, fragmentation, irregularity, and healing- and often feature elements of abstract expressionism both textured in the clay and in the application of glaze.

Gaucha Berlin Photography
Gaucha Berlin
Gaucha Berlin earned her degree in Graphic Design at the Lette-Verein in Berlin, Germany where she lived and worked for more than 20 years. Her work has been featured in numerous publications and she has exhibited extensively in Berlin. She has created public works throughout her life that range from restaurant chalkboards in South Africa to storefront installations in Kreuzberg, the heart of Berlin.
In 2010 she relocated to the United States where she immediately landed on Cherokee Street in Saint Louis, MO. It was there that she began her contribution to the local ART scene. Within six months of her arrival she was selected for the first solo exhibition at the SOHA gallery in Saint Louis.
Gaucha Berlin finds inspiration for her work from every day life as well as her journeys as a world traveler. She is working in two different mediums, photography as well as mixed media.
Gaucha Berlin photography:
Her love for nature arose at a very young age. This love originated through daily hikes in the forest with her father, who himself was a nature enthusiast and photographer. On the first day of school, at the age of seven, she received a camera
as a gift from her dad. A gift that would change her life.
Her current work as a photographer is an in-depth documentation of nature throughout the seasons. These photographs, taken in the Benton Park Neighborhood of St. Louis over the last 6 years, provide a detailed catalogue of the various
states of botanicals at different times of the year.
She finds great pleasure in revealing a world, hidden underneath the obvious.
All images for photos were taken in their natural environment
